Your first appointment is typically 50–60 minutes. Follow-up appointments may appear as approximately 45 minutes on the scheduling platform, though session length can vary based on your needs and clinical considerations. Some clients prefer a shorter session that fits into their workday, while others may benefit from additional time when appropriate.
-
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your personal history, discuss your current concerns, and identify what you hope to gain from our work together.
There's no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of where we're headed together. Whenever possible, I also like clients to leave with a practical tool, coping skill, or strategy they can begin using before our next session.
-
I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs and goals. Depending on your situation, I may incorporate CBT, ACT, EMDR-informed therapy, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method principles, and other evidence-based approaches.

I provide therapy sessions in English. Growing up in a first-generation Hispanic family has given me a deep appreciation for the language, traditions, family values, and cultural experiences that shape many Hispanic families.
While I understand conversational Spanish and many common phrases, sayings, and cultural expressions, I conduct therapy in English to ensure clear communication and provide the highest quality of care.
-
Yes. Your privacy is very important. Everything we discuss is confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions, such as concerns about safety or situations required by law. I'll review confidentiality in detail during your first session.

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek counseling because they want greater clarity, healthier relationships, improved coping skills, or support through a challenging season of life. If you're wondering whether therapy could help, that's often a good sign that it's worth exploring.
