I’m Glad You’re Here
I’ve been a therapist for more than 20 years, and one thing I’ve learned is that people rarely fit neatly into a diagnosis, a life stage, or a single way of doing therapy. I want to understand the person sitting in front of me—what brought you here, what matters to you, what you’ve already tried, and what you hope might be different.
You don’t have to edit yourself in therapy or worry about saying the “right” thing. We can be thoughtful and serious when we need to be, laugh when something is funny, look at things from a different angle, and be curious about patterns that may no longer be working for you.
What You Can Expect When We Work Together
I believe therapy should feel like a conversation—not a lecture. I’ll ask questions, offer observations, and help you look at things from perspectives you may not have considered. Some sessions may focus on understanding patterns or experiences from your past; others may be more about what’s happening right now and what might help.
My work draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR-informed therapy, mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also incorporate principles from Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT) and the Gottman Method when relationships are part of the work.
There isn’t one formula I use with everyone. We’ll figure out together what feels useful, what doesn’t, and where you want to go from here.
Outside of therapy, I find balance in the simple things that help me slow down and reconnect with myself. You'll often find me practicing yoga, walking along the beach, enjoying sunsets, spending time with my Labrador, Buddy, or creating coastal-inspired jewelry by hand.
These moments remind me that healing isn't only about solving problems—it's also about making space for peace, creativity, connection, and joy. They help me stay grounded and present, qualities I strive to bring into every therapy session.
A Few Things That Keep Me Grounded
My professional background includes more than two decades of experience working with individuals in hospitals, crisis intervention, trauma services, and private practice. That experience continues to shape how I understand people, relationships, resilience, and change.
